Description
Originally created as part of Google's Noto Project to provide comprehensive text support for languages worldwide, Noto Sans Nabataean was designed by Hector Muñoz and Christian Robertson. This font brings the Nabataean script, an ancient language used by the Nabateans in the Arabian Peninsula around 400 BC to AD 106, into the digital age with a modern and functional sans-serif design. The typeface is characterized by its tall x-height, narrow proportions, and distinctive shape of the letters, which are adapted from the original Nabataean inscriptions found at Petra and other archaeological sites.

Best Use Cases

  • Website and app interfaces
  • Editorial design
